In Sidereus, Doves were created by the goddess Gilana when she still reigned as the goddess of joy. These birds are now commonly held sacred by devotees of Gilana who still revere her in her former aspect. During the celebration of Sanctimonia: the Wings of Hope festival (celebrated on the 21st of Avior/21st of July), flights of doves are released among major cities to celebrate the hope that Gilana will be redeemed.
